The Appeal
When the 90s coupe revival came along, Honda had form. Its Prelude had been entertaining drivers for four generations. The 5th version marked a return to a more classic angular style but the renowned driver dynamics remained.
With Honda teasing the return of this much-loved nameplate, perhaps there is no better time to rediscover one of the firm’s best two doors and arguably one of the era’s greatest coupes.
It seems unlikely you’ll find a better introduction than this example. There may be faster versions, but this one gives access to the agility and engagement these cars were renowned for. It is a remarkable find: a one lady owner, exceptionally low mileage car in timewarp showroom condition. As you might expect, there is full maintenance history including a recent service and long, advisory-free MOT.
The late 90s is increasingly being recognised as a sweet spot in motoring development and this car shows why. Ideal as a daily or perhaps best preserved for weekends, it is a proper motoring unicorn.
