The Appeal
With compact proportions, peppy performance and unique character, the Mini was a success story that took the UK by storm, and soldiered on as the rest of automotive world went into more and more homogenised design. By 1999, however, the writing was on the wall, and production would grind to a halt by early 2000.
This example of the much-loved Mini Cooper Sport comes to us with an exceptional fettle, having done what’s believed to be only 16,439 miles. With so much originality on offer, and a near-immaculate interior, this may well be one of the best we’ve seen.

The History and Paperwork
- Built in 1999 as a Mini Cooper Sport with 1300 1.3A+ MPI engine
- First registered in March 1999
- In 2008 the car was recorded with only 3,132 miles
- In 2009 the car was also tuned with some new components and treatment
- The mileage has remained consistent throughout its ownership
- As a result, it has 16,439 genuine miles
- MOT history has been clear all the way back to 2011

The Interior

- Walnut veneer dashboard

- Wood-trimmed gearstick knob in great condition
- Carpets and headlining are in superb order
- Wood & Pickett mats were supplied in 2009 and still look practically brand new
- Boot is exceptional, having been recarpeted in 2009

- Beautifully kept exterior with very few signs of wear
- Dark blue metallic paintwork in excellent order

- White stripes and coachline all present and correct with no visible wear
- Chromework is still bright and well-kept across the board
- Fitted with purple Mini Cooper-branded fog lamps
- Fitted with wide colour-matched arches
- Gold windscreen trim adds an unusual accent
- Car is sitting on its original Mini Cooper wheelset
- Shod in a full set of Nankang tyres
- Underside is in good order with only minor signs of wear
- Waxoyled in 2009 and still looking in fine fettle
The Mechanics
- 1.3 A+ engine multi-point fuel injection
- 4-speed manual transmission
- Subject to a stage 3 engine conversion by Wood and Pickett in 2009
- Work done in this period also included:
- WP Side-exit rear exhaust silencer and cat-link pipe
- Painting of engine with stainless steel parts fitted
- New alloy sump guard
- Car has been SORN for a short period but kept in excellent order
- Recently fitted with a new battery
- Car is in excellent working order with no reported leaks, knocks, bangs or smoke
