The Attractions
When it was launched in 1995, the Lotus Elise S1 was greeted with great enthusiasm by enthusiasts and introduced several important technical and styling innovations, starting with its unmistakable curvaceous lines. Heralded as the world's most advanced sports car, it offered an extremely lightweight epoxy-bonded extruded aluminium chassis that made it a kind of speedy go-kart, unbeatable both on the track and on the road.
It was the progenitor of a new generation of agile and fast speedsters and is still a much-loved and respected car today.
This particular Elise, presented in classic British Racing Green, is in such good condition that it was recently awarded a prize at the Vicenza Classic Car Show 2024!
This S1 is equipped with several important accessories that further enhance its performance, including a Janspeed sports exhaust, a sports air filter and a four-finned rear racing diffuser to increase downforce.
