The Appeal
Introduced in 1996 the Z3 was BMW’s first mass produced roadster and was an instant sales success, in part due to being featured in the James Bond film Goldeneye. The early Z3s were only offered with 1.9 litre or 2.2 litre engines, but in 1997 the 190bhp 2.8 litre straight six was launched and the Z3 finally got performance to match its looks.
This smart example is being offered in excellent condition. It is a true “one lady owner” car, registered to her and serviced by the supplying BMW Main Dealer from 1999 until 2021. It has covered just 46,000 miles, corroborated by its MoT and Service history. With just age related wear it is in lovely condition with attractive Boston Green Metallic paintwork complemented by a cream leather interior. It drives well with plenty of power, the roof erects and stows well and fits snugly.
All in all it is a very attractive and desirable example.

Summary
There are plenty of Z3s to choose from, but in our opinion, the pick of the bunch is the 2.8 litre version. With enough power in a light body, driving the 2.8 is a rewarding and fun experience. We think the green metallic paint suits the Z3, and works well with the cream leather interior. With just a single owner, particularly low mileage, and an excellent record of regular servicing this one has everything going for it!
