The Appeal
The DB7 is both pivotal to Aston Martin’s revival and - perhaps not unrelated - remains one of the most beautiful cars of the last 30 years. They also bridge the divide between the classic, hand-crafted, wood-lined models of yesteryear with the modern, technologically advanced of the current range.
All of that makes these sleek cars increasingly in demand. Early Volantes got the very reliable AJ6 3.2litre engine, which was borrowed from Jaguar but significantly upgraded by Aston Martin. Bolting on a supercharger lifted power to 335bhp and gave these cars an aurally distinctive soundtrack.
Just 879 were built of which this 1997 example is one of the earliest. Finished in rare gold metallic with a complementary cream leather interior, its condition hints at the very low displayed mileage. This US market car will be sold with UK registration when it will be fully ready for some trans continental road trips, perhaps to the South of France.

- Cabin condition supports low displayed mileage with few signs of wear
- Walnut veneers to dashboard, doors and centre console and all well kept
- Interior switchgear generally well kept except for crack to note on centre console
- Light marks to leather trim surrounding centre console
