The Appeal

The Pontiac Firebird is about as American as it comes. Popularised by the likes of Smokey and the Bandit, these cars are about as American Muscle as it comes. Designed to compete with the Ford Mustang, and sharing a platform with the Camaro, they've become a legendary part of the American auto industry.

The Targa-Top, in particular, is a scarce vehicle. Less than 400 of these were built out of less than 5000 Firebirds constructed. These are sought after even in the USA, and in the UK and Europe is no doubt the equivalent of automotive hen's teeth. This specific example is exactly that and comes to us with a top-notch spec and a rich red livery.

This Firebird has been well-maintained and upgraded over the last couple of years, with recent parts of note including a recon front subframe, new brakes, light magnesium alloy wheels, a Bora stainless steel exhaust, and matching new tyres. The engine has been retuned and will prove to be a real high-octane experience out on the road.
