The Appeal

In typical Porsche fashion, for its front-engined coupé the firm saved the best until last. The final 944 got the big 3L 4cyl motor, more power and updated aesthetics. All icing on the cake of one the best balanced and most entertaining coupes of the last 40 years.
This car was one of the last built, first registered in March 1991 and finished in a mildly menacing black with navy 986 ‘twist’ alloys. This is a car to be used and enjoyed rather than shined and shown, but it benefits from £6,000 spent in recent times across the bodywork - all four arches - and engine, including timing belt, alternator, water pump and suspension. The result is a very solid and tidy car that seems perfect for what the 944 does best - driving.
The thick history file reinforces the sense of a car that has been enthusiast-owned and loved. There is a long MOT to August 2025 and that means it is ready to enjoy.
