The Appeal
If you’re unfamiliar with the RGV250 then the ‘slingshot’ graphics are your giveaway. Hailed as one of the best GP-derived 2 strokes of the 1980s, this scintillating bike’s narrow power band is key to its appeal.
Based on Suzuki’s 250cc GP bike, the RGV250 channeled that racing technology to deliver what many consider to be the closest thing to a GP bike on the road in the late 80s. They have a huge enthusiast following with good, unmodified, low mileage bikes like this one being very appealing.
With just 24,000kms from new, looking at this highly preserved early VJ21 is to time-travelling back to a time when high revving 250s - this one red lines at 11,500rpm - were in demand. It is in very good condition and we are told has been well maintained through its life.
Save it for your collection or get out and enjoy it. Whichever the lucky buyer chooses, we’re envious.
