The Appeal
Often touted as one of the best 3rd-party tuners in the industry, Hartge were a company that gained quite a reputation for being able to get incredible results from factory cars. Their trick was perfectly tuning larger factory engines - aided by an automated test bench - and fitting them to smaller vehicles. While they were never the biggest company, they certainly garnered a reputation - by the mid-80s, they were given manufacturing status and began to leave their mark right down to the VIN plates.
The H7SP, using a BMW E32 7-Series as its base, boasts a 260 horsepower 3.5L I6, lowered suspension and much more, all providing a comfortable, sporting cruise that was unparalleled in its day, and continues to be highly favoured. These cars are now incredibly rare - in fact it's often touted that less than 10 were ever manufactured worldwide.
The car retains all its original Hartge elements, and was originally imported from the legendarily-car-friendly Japan. It, as a result, comes to us in remarkable order with no signs of corrosion and all of its original features proudly on display.
