The Appeal
Occupying the middle ground between the entry-level 924 and range-topping 928 grand tourer, the Porsche 944 was perhaps the most well-rounded of the front-engined Porsche lineup, becoming their most successful seller for several years. We’re pleased to offer this smart 1989 S2 example which has been sympathetically modified for a sportier use while remaining sufficiently civilised for regular on-road driving.
Modifications include GAZ GOLD coilovers, an OS Giken limited-slip differential, and Aerospace brake lines. Engine is stock, and the large 3 liters 4 cylinder is sturdy and reliable. Its original Porsche seats are supplied alongside Sparco racing bucket seats, allowing you to switch between comfort and performance as desired.
Resprayed in 2018 years ago and garage-stored ever since, it’s a very smart example and the vendor assures us that it drives very well indeed. For those seeking a well-preserved example that’s been dynamically enhanced, this is the 944 to buy.
