A plus
With its long, elegant lines inspired by Cannes yachts, the Rolls-Royce Corniche represented the height of luxury and refinement, reserved for an elite few. Only 1,234 examples of the Corniche II were built at Crewe.
This model was a sought-after American version, equipped with a more reliable injection system for its imposing 6.75-litre V8. It is distinguished by its very rare 'triple black' configuration, with Masons Black paint and matching black wheel trims. Its low mileage of 58,000 is testament to its exceptional condition.
Having spent most of its life in the sunny climate of California, this Corniche has retained its bright paintwork and well-preserved bodywork. Always stored in a dehumidified garage since its arrival in Belgium, it is accompanied by its service book and has recently had a complete overhaul. Its MOT is valid until May 2026, and it is reported to be in excellent working order.
The seller writes:

It is impressive to see how carefully this car has been preserved over its 38 years. That's quite a feat for a black paint job, which tends to reveal the slightest flaw.
While many Corniche cars sport bright colours, this 'triple black' configuration is a joy to behold. Its sobriety and elegance are enhanced by silver fillets, highlighting the superb chrome. The black soft top is in excellent condition and works perfectly.
The black leather interior is extremely well preserved, matching the wood veneers, chrome elements and refined controls. There are a few minor imperfections, but these do not detract from the elegant craftsmanship of the interior.
3-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted controls
Engine runs very well and braking is claimed to be impeccable
Suspension and steering in perfect condition
Complete check carried out in May 2024, with any faults corrected
No operating or driving problems reported
Delivered with roadworthiness test valid until May 2026
For European buyers, this US-spec Corniche II is a wise choice, as it comes factory-equipped with the more reliable fuel injection system that replaced the carburettors on early versions and models for the European market.
With its low mileage, this vehicle is advertised as being in excellent driving condition and requiring no immediate attention. Its engine and brakes were inspected in May 2024, and all necessary work has been carried out.
It is offered for sale with a roadworthiness test valid until May 2026. image.png1.7 MB

If an auction vehicle doesn't sell, it may be converted into a “Make an offer” listing. This will retain all of the details of the auction listing but replace the bidding functionality with an offering system whereby potential buyers can make an offer on the vehicle. To take the hassle out of the whole process and to prevent any unnecessary squabbling we'll automatically decline anything less than 70% of the asking price so only offers that are worth considering will be accepted. Make an offer listings include a “Make an offer” button. Simply click on this and enter the amount you’d like to offer and the seller will either accept, decline or counter. Easy peasy. If you don’t have a Car & Classic account with a registered bank card you’ll be prompted to set one up at this point.
If your offer is accepted, you’ll be charged a service fee. The amount depends on the cost of the vehicle and is an additional cost on top of the offer amount. Starting from as little as £/€300, it covers the cost of our various auction and escrow services, but rest assured, we're not in the woollen eyewear business and so the exact amount is always displayed upfront before you place your bid. You will only be charged if your offer is accepted.
The service fee is a charge in addition to any accepted offer amount that varies depending on the cost of the vehicle. Starting from as little as £/€300, the exact fee is clearly displayed upfront before any offer is placed so you always know exactly how much you'll be charged. It covers the cost of our various auction and escrow services and allows us to continue to provide a secure and professional platform from which to transact safely.
If you've ever squeezed a lemon then this'll be a doddle. Firstly you'll need to be logged in to your Car & Classic account and have added a valid payment card to your profile. Once these steps have been completed you can then make an offer by clicking on the "Make an offer" button on the listing page and entering your offer amount before clicking on the “Submit Offer” button underneath.
