For those who wanted the very best Mercedes-Benz had to offer but didn't need the full-size S Class saloon, a two-door coupé known as the C126 SEC was added to the range in September 1981. The 560 SEC was the top of the range model, with a 5.6-litre V8 producing nearly 300 bhp. Designed under the wathcful eye of the late, great Bruno Sacco, the SEC was a huge success and remains a popular classic to this day.
This 1986 560 SEC is the coveted European version. Supplied new to Germany, it retains its German registration documents. It looks to be in very good condition for its age and has undergone some recent work including the replacement of the auxiliary fuel pumps.
