The Appeal
“Practical”. Not a word you usually associate with Ferrari, but that’s exactly what the Mondial was. Sure, it was no Volvo estate car, but the Mondial offered generous seating for four - even in cabriolet form which was a world first for a mid-engined car.
This Euro-spec Quattrovalvole started life in America, likely a “grey import”, making its to Europe via Belgium in 2013. Francorchamps Motors carried out a significant service, recommissioning the car and repainting it. A new soft top is also fitted.
Ferraris are all about the driving, and what a great drive this Mondial offers. As the coveted and rare QV version, it boasts a 2.9-litre 32v V8 paired with a sumptuous five-speed gated manual gearbox. These cars a beautifully balanced and immensely engaging behind the wheel. We’re informed that it runs and drives very well, having been used very sparingly during present ownership.

A new soft top makes this Mondial very easy to live with.
