The Appeal
How to give the DS an heir? Replacing the car often cited as the greatest leap forward in 20th century car design was never going to be an easy task. However, this was the conundrum that Citroën engineers had to face in the early 1970s.
In 1974, they unveiled the CX, which was in every respect a worthy heir to the DS, incorporating much of its innovative technology and space-age styling while ensuring that it was in tune with changing design and performance trends. This 1985 CX 25 GTi stands out for its originality and particularly desirable equipment. Equipped with the highly sought-after original instrumentation, manual gearbox and of course all the various GTi-specific features, this is a fantastic example that is sure to attract great interest among Citroën collectors.
