1982 Chevrolet Corvette C3

***Vendor supplied images***

Highlights

  • Brilliant light restoration project
  • Fully rebuilt gearbox in 2018
  • Matching numbers example
  • Recent expenses (fuel pump replacement, injection and ignition adjustments)

The Appeal

The C3 Corvette is an instantly recognisable model thanks to its aggressive stance, pop-up headlights and T-top roof.

Originally sold in the US in 1982, this car was imported to Europe as recently as 2018 and has since spent the majority of its time in the South West of France. It still wears its original white colour and dark blue interior upholstery. However, they are seemingly showing the scars of time.

As a result, this car would provide the perfect base for a light restoration project given its great mechanical health underneath. In fact, the engine is said to be in perfect running order, starting on the button whilst the automatic transmission was fully rebuilt in 2018. This car is perfect for a passionate American motoring enthusiast ready to put in a bit of effort.

  • Some rubbers are beginning to crack in places
  • Some signs of surface corrosion underneath

  • Runs well according to the owner
  • Recent expenses (fuel pump replacement, injection and ignition adjustments)

Summary

This C3 Corvette from 1982 is a matching numbers example that has been living in Europe, fully homologated, since 2018. It has spent the majority of that time living in the South West of France and is in need of some TLC. Showing signs of wear and tear throughout but in great mechanical condition, it is sure to present brilliantly given the time and money invested into it.
