The Attractions

Towards the end of the 1970s, Porsche was looking to the future, and its executives were convinced that the company would move from producing air-cooled vehicles to new sports models with water-cooled front engines, such as the 928, 924 and 944. The 924 was the entry model in the range, developed with the help of Volkswagen just like the earlier 912 and 914. It was an extraordinary success and, although all enthusiasts are glad that Porsche eventually decided not to cease production of the 911, the 924 represented an important chapter in the glorious history of the Stuttgart-based company.

This example with its 2.0-litre engine is registered with the Automotoclub Storico Italiano, proving that its historical significance and authenticity have been recognised. The car has recently received a complete and thorough overhaul to ensure that it will be in top shape for its next owner. The seller informs us that this 924 is in excellent condition both inside and out, which makes it very attractive to all classic car enthusiasts.
