Highlights
- Honda’s 4cyl ‘mini superbike’
- Restoration project with restored bodywork
- Engine runs and spare engine included
- Well regarded bike with cafe racer style
The Appeal
Honda’s run of 4cyl bikes gave buyers a range of mini superbikes with smooth, powerful engines. The CB400F was an update of the CB350 and added sporty, cafe racer styling to the appealing mix.
These bikes were well regarded by buyers and contemporary reviewers but didn’t sell well, which makes modern day survivors like this one rare. It was bought by the current keeper as a restoration project but time has conspired against him and it is now for sale.
The bodywork has already been restored, repainted in blue with correct 400 decals. The engine runs but will need some recommissioning. A spare engine is included for parts.
For the right enthusiast this presents an interesting project where the work you might otherwise need to outsource - like the respray - has already been done. Once done there’s a stylish, rare classic 70s bike to enjoy.
