Well-documented maintenance history with abundant paperwork and service manual
The Appeal
This is one of the most stylish motorcycles we've seen in a while...
Much like their cars, the Italians know a good-looking motorcycle when they see one and this is a prime example of Giorgetto Giugiaro at his finest.
Behind this MV Agusta's striking lines we find equally beautiful engineering: Its OHC 4v parallel twin revs to a dizzying 10,000 rpm redline while details such as cast magnesium wheels are enough to make the likes of us petrolheads salivate at their very mention.
Produced between 1975 and 1977, this model is rightly celebrated for its design and performance, boasting a very respectable 34bhp.
This 1977 example is among the last Ipotesi models built and a greatly sought-after collector's item. It has been meticulously maintained and underwent a comprehensive restoration in 2015/2016. There are only 15,000 miles on the clock and having covered just 500km since its restoration, the engine is said to be very fit.

This MV Agusta presents superbly having barely turned a wheel since the completion of a major restoration. The frame, bodywork and seat upholstery are exceedingly smart, with no notable wear to report. We note some slight deterioration to the paintwork on the tailpiece, but nothing especially noteworthy.
The aforementioned magnesium alloy wheels look wonderful as do those distinctive slatted side covers - bringing to mind the side strakes on a Ferrari Testarossa!
The Mechanics
350 cc parallel twin with overhead cam and dual Dell’Orto carbs
Five-speed gearbox
Electronic ignition
New crankshaft
Re-bore with new pistons
New valves, valve guides, and seats
All bearings replaced with SKF
New chain and sprockets
Kickstart pedal repaired and re-chromed
Exhaust front tubes re-chromed
New brake pistons and pads
New brake pump front and rear
New battery
The above list shows this bike has undergone a comprehensive mechanical restoration and we're assured that it continues to run very well. We're not informed of any known issues, but please note this bike has been ridden sparingly in recent years as it is not currently road registered in the UK.
Few motorcycles of this comparatively modest engine capacity boast such impressive horsepower figures and that's a testament to the engineering prowess of MV Agusta at this time. These bikes thrive on revs, so we envy the next lucky owner who will have the pleasure of opening up those dual Dell’Ortos.
