The Attractions

The Kubelwagen was born out of a desire to build European versions of the legendary Willys Jeep after the war. It was a typically German design that borrowed the robust mechanics of the Type 1 Beetle to create a simple, robust 'Jeep' capable of going anywhere.

We are told that this restored 1976 Type 181 - the successor to the wartime Type 82 -  originally belonged to a German armoured division and is painted in a rare NATO camouflage livery that was only used for a few months in 1982. Carefully tuned with original military equipment of the time and in excellent condition, it is a low-mileage Trekker/Thing in very good condition. Its construction specifications include military-grade waterproof electrical components.

It has an overhaul valid until August 2024. For militaria enthusiasts or lovers of these versatile war machines, this is an excellent opportunity to purchase a restored example with excellent equipment.
