The Appeal

The Commando had a bold name, but it was fully deserved: this was a powerful, comfortable high performance bike. It became beloved by buyers on both sides of the Atlantic and is a key reason why British bikes of the ‘60s are so highly regarded.
Many went Stateside, but have now been repatriated to sate home market demand for these perennially popular racers. This is one if them, a very original MkII with great lightly aged character. It is the popular Roadster version and retains its factory features.
The long term keeper has used it sparingly but kept on top of the maintenance and the checks. Although MOT exempt he has had it regularly tested, giving the buyer a useful independent reference point for condition. SInce 2015 there have been no advisories and regular passes.
Reported to be in great running order and with MOT to May 2025, this is a great opportunity for classic bike enthusiasts.
