The Attractions
Launched in 1971 as a smaller displacement variant of the CB750, the Honda CB500 sported very similar styling and featured an identically configured powerplant, a transverse air-cooled inline four-cylinder with an overhead camshaft. Lighter and easier to ride than its bigger sister, the CB500 proved very competitive in the 500 cc production motorbike class at events such as the gruelling Isle of Man TT.
This 1974 CB500 Four K1 appears to be in very original condition, in good shape and ready to go. The seller has informed us that the engine on this CB500 has been thoroughly rebuilt recently, with a complete rebuild of the cylinder head and rebuild of the four carburettors.
The seller has also informed us that if necessary he is available to assist the buyer in transporting the bike, and that the bike will be delivered with a freshly obtained MOT, ready to be ridden and enjoyed.
