The Appeal
The P1800ES was the sort of clever idea we’ve come to expect from Volvo. Evolving the distinctive P1800S into a sleek sporting estate provided a solution for press-on drivers who like to travel with plenty of luggage. Or dogs.
The final Type Y version got the B20F fuel injected engine and lightly revised interior, most notably featuring rocker switches. Just 5,008 were built, making these stylish and luxurious cars particularly rare now.
Originally a California-market car finished in Orange, this car was resprayed in subtle dark blue 10 years ago which complements the black leather interior. It is solid, very usable and factory standard condition and looks perfect for long road trips.
