The Plus

The original Jaguar XJ6 is widely recognised as one of the finest saloons ever built. As elegant as an E-Type - from which it takes its styling - and with driving and handling on a par with a Rolls-Royce.

Early models are now very rare, but these qualities mean that the few that have survived are increasingly sought-after. Enthusiasts prefer SWB 4.2L models with manual gearboxes, such as this one, because this configuration matches the performance and handling for which these cars are renowned.

This XJ6 SWB 4.2, built in 1972 and registered in 1973, has a manual gearbox with overdrive and is finished in an attractive white colour with red velvet interior. This is a car with very few miles on the odometer and it presents a most delightful appearance. The condition is very good and the service history is a guarantee of a reliable car in perfect condition.

Recent work includes an engine cleaning, new ignition cables, a revised radiator, a new fan, new door locks and new front brake discs. FFVE certification attests to the vehicle's provenance, while a long-term MOT underlines its condition.
