The Appeal
The Ford Mustang was always prized by the younger generations in the 60s and 70s - they were, after all, relatively affordable and loaded with performance and aggression - a brash, rebellious icon of the motor road. However, by 1969 the car's range of 'Boss' models were centre stage, taking form in the Shelby GT350 and GT500, the Mustang GT and, of course, the Mach 1.
Available in a limited range of specifications, the Mach 1 package was only available with the 'SportsRoof' fastback body style, and was aimed at the younger, brasher, and more in-your-face audience that had grown to clamour for America's finest Pony Car.
This particular one is something special - with a beautiful blue colour scheme and a brand new, bigger-than-ever engine providing top-notch, gas-guzzling performance that'd make any 70s petrolhead proud.
With only 1,400 miles on its replacement engine, this Mustang offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive history that looks and drives like new, that's always been kept in a car-bubble in a dry, air-conditioned garage.
