The Plus
The Mustang is recognised as one of the most successful cars in history, and continues to be one of the most sought-after classics - but of all the Mustangs, the Mach 1 is arguably the most passionate. The Mach 1 package was only available in the'SportsRoof' fastback body style, previously known as the 'fastback'. It was aimed at a younger audience who appreciated the performance of, say, the Mustang GT - but at a slightly more affordable price.
Despite this, the pony fastback boasted an impressive wood finish, distinctive reflective stripes and twin exhausts - designed to attract the attention of young car enthusiasts. It was an instant success, and eventually outperformed and completely replaced the more expensive GT version.
Imported from the USA and registered in France since 2015, this Mustang Mach 1 comes with a full history file, including the original 1972 purchase invoice. The vehicle has recently undergone a major service, ensuring it is in good condition and ready for its next owner.
