The Appeal
This is one of Mercedes-Benz' all time greats, stemming from a time when the company was going through its golden age. There's a deceptive level of design in the Pagoda - from its Bosch fishbowl headlights to its gentle American fins - and, of course, that concave roofline offers the perfect headline. This solidly-built, capable and nimble little roadster didn't just impact history - it set a milestone for the industry.
This 1970 car was built for the American market, and remained in California until 2019, when it arrived on British soil. Presented in a rather striking blue on cream, it's a fabulous candidate for restoration. Still in running order, and kept in dry storage since it first crossed the Atlantic, this car will likely be a very rewarding project for its lucky new keeper.
