The Appeal
Designed by Felice Mario Boano, whose company Carrozzeria Boano was responsible for some early production models of the Ferrari 250 GT Coupé, there's no denying the Fiat 124 Sport Coupé's illustrious credentials.
A lesser-seen rival to the Lancia Fulvia and Alfa Romeo 105 Series Giulia, the 124 Sport Coupé is something of an undiscovered gem in Fiat's back catalogue. With a 1,438 cc four-cylinder engine featuring twin overhead camshafts and a power output of 90 DIN hp, this coupé was a lively performer in its era. The vehicle's lightweight construction and five-speed gearbox allowed it to reach a top speed of 170 km/h, making it a desirable choice for those seeking a spirited driving experience.
As noted by Octane magazine, "The early AC cars look and drive the best, and are the most desirable as a consequence". And that's exactly what we have here.
This 1969 Fiat 124 Sport Coupé AC is a remarkable find, maintaining its original Italian registration and showcasing all the desirable factory-original details. With only 41,801 kilometres on the odometer, (reportedly genuine), it appears to be a superlative example and therefore a perfect addition to any Fiat collection.
