Plus points

In the 1960s, Italy began imposing taxes on imported products in order to protect its domestic industry. This benefited companies like Fiat and Innocenti, but an austere, cheap car from abroad was struggling to find its place. That's when Luigi Innocenti saw a great opportunity.

Importing ready-to-assemble kits direct from BMC, the Innocenti Mini appeared in 1966 and soon accounted for three per cent of the Italian passenger car market. Of course, this included the basic Mini, but Italians developed a particular affection for the Traveller, or as they called it, the Innocenti T-Legno.

With its subtle differences from the British Mini and its impressive build quality, the T-Legno had unique characteristics that made it a true icon, with a cult following in Europe and beyond.

This 1968 example was restored by a group of friends as part of a personal project between 2020 and 2023 - and the result is spectacular. Painted in an elegant almond green, with a beautifully restored wooden structure and a completely rebuilt engine, this charming little classic is ready to seduce its future owner.
