1966 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi T1 'Splitscreen'

Highlights

  • Complete restoration with over 1,000 photos documenting the process
  • Engine with only 3,000 km since refurbishment
  • Roadworthiness certificate valid until July 2029

The Plus

This is the classic van par excellence - nothing less than iconic. We're talking, of course, about the Volkswagen Type 2. With its air-cooled rear engine and cab-forward design, the Type 2 optimised a relatively compact chassis. Its square shape proved surprisingly aerodynamic, allowing relatively quiet high-speed driving despite modest power.

This is a beautifully restored 'Splitscreen' Kombi from 1966. Superbly finished throughout and with just 3,000 km on its rebuilt engine, this is a fabulous example that is sure to be the envy of the air-cooled VW community worldwide.

The restoration has been documented in a series of over 1,000 photographs, showing that every detail has been meticulously taken care of. With a Technical Inspection valid until July 2029, this Kombi is ready for the road and offers peace of mind to its future owner.
