The Appeal
Hailing from a period when Mercedes-Benz built some of, if not the best cars in the world, the W111 Coupé served as the firm's flagship two-door GT for ten years, showcasing some of the great Paul Bracq's finest styling work. It proved a consummate grand tourer, perfect for traversing continents in supreme luxury, speed and refinement.
The 1962 220 SEb is a rare 2+2. It presents beautifully having undergone an extensive renovation program from 2016 to 2019. The work included new floor panels, a new braking system, an overhauled transmission, a revised engine and suspension, a renovated interior, and fresh paintwork. Resplendent in white with a contrasting black roo to show off those svelte coupé lines, and a glorious cognac interior, this 220 SEb is one of the most handsome cars on the road.
The car has been well-maintained, with minimal use in the last five years, making it a worthy addition to any collection.
