The Appeal

Besides revolutionising the passenger car, Issigonis’ Mini would also become the basis for several commercial vehicles. Inner-city deliveries necessitated compact vans and pickups, so that’s exactly what the Mini became.
Today, few remain, as these Mini commercials proved so useful that they were driven until they eventually fell apart. Therefore, we’re delighted to present this fabulous early example of an Austin Mini Pick-up from 1962.
Originally supplied to South Africa in right-hand drive, it made its way to the UK in recent years where it has undergone an extensive restoration, without regard to cost. Much of the bodywork has been restored and replaced prior to a full bare metal respray. The mechanicals have been completely restored and the interior has been retrimmed to a high standard.
For those seeking a truly exemplary Mini pickup, they’re few and far between, especially early examples like this. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity.
