The Attractions
After World War II, Italy was in very difficult conditions, but at the same time there were great opportunities for a designer who could build diesel tractors with the limited resources available. Ferruccio Lamborghini, a brilliant young entrepreneur, developed an innovative fuel atomisation system for Morris engines for commercial vehicles.
In the early 1960s, at a time when most tractor engines were still water-cooled, Ferruccio launched his pioneering air-cooled diesel engines. His tractors were both technically advanced and endowed with attractive and unmistakable aesthetics, like the famous cars that bear his name. We can therefore say that no Lamborghini collection is truly complete without at least one tractor alongside the Taurus' super sports cars.
Here we can admire an extremely rare 2241R, which has received a complete restoration by its current owner, Simone Gallerani. Simone is an engineer with five years' experience in rebuilding collectors' Lamborghini tractors and has sold examples all over the world. The 2241R is characterised by elegant lines and compact dimensions, and this example is in very good condition.
We have been told that it is easy to drive and ready to use, and in our opinion this is a particularly interesting example that would enrich any collection.
