1960 Ford F100

Highlights

  • Recent full engine rebuild by John Burke Motorsports in 2023
  • Unique flame design paintwork on the inside of doors
  • Matching "chain" gear selector, handbrake, and steering wheel

The Appeal

The F100 is a contender for one of the most iconic pickups in history. How could you not love it? This was the third generation of the Ford F-Series pick-up, and may have been the one most clamoured-for by hot-rodders. The angular, brash and forward-facing bodywork and fiery performance all made these a perfect candidate for modification and custom jobs.

This 1960 example was previously kept as a show car, and was fully restored circa 2017. Since then, it's lived a pampered lifestyle life and received a comprehensive engine rebuild by 2023. This truck looks quite standard from the outside - but the moment you take a seat in that cabin, you're in another world.

The interior flame paintwork on the doors and the chain motif across the handbrake, gearstick and steering wheel all catapult the driver into the world of the F100's hot-rod heritage. It's a remarkably immersive cab, and really helps this characterful pickup stand out from its peers.
