The Plus
Looking at this beautiful XK150 FHC, it's easy to see why these cars are so popular with classic touring and event enthusiasts. They appeal to both the mind and the heart: they're naturally fun to drive, but their space, comfort and practicality also make them excellent long-distance companions.
There are a host of upgrades available to improve the touring ability of these cars, including conversion to a 5-speed gearbox. This car, restored a few years ago by a Danish Jaguar specialist at a cost of €25,000, benefits from this important upgrade. Its rebuilt engine adds to its already top-of-the-range mechanical base.
In March 1957, Jaguar introduced the 'Special Equipment' SE model to offer customers more power to match the elegant design. This is one of those cars. Built in 1959, it is finished in dark blue, which accentuates the bright chrome elements that are a highlight of these models.
As an older restoration, it is clearly in very good condition, both inside and out. The wood-trimmed cabin with its beige leather seats looks particularly welcoming.
It's the kind of neat classic you wouldn't hesitate to use. It would be perfectly at home lined up with other classic touring cars ready to travel picturesque European roads. The technical inspection is valid until March 2027, so it's absolutely ready to go.
