Developed from the A10 Golden Flash, the 646cc Road Rocket was marketed by BSA as "arguably the best bike in the world". It quickly gained a reputation for reliability and, with its 40bhp, was one of the fastest machines of its day.
This 1959 example stands out as an original, unrestored model, apparently retaining its original paintwork. Having been serviced by a specialist in vintage motorbikes, it is said to be in very good running and riding condition. The bike has been in the possession of the current owner for 10 years, during which time it has been carefully stored in a dry garage under cover and tarpaulins. With a new seat and suitable luggage rack now fitted, this BSA is ready for display, as well as for the road.
