Of the plethora of British two seaters that flooded the US market in the 50s, Triumph’s range of TRs were the ones noted for their dynamic verve. Then and now their peppy 2litre motors and nimble handling single them out.
Those qualities make TR3s popular for touring and classic car events. This one would fit right it. It spent its first 48 years in the dry climes of California before arriving here in 2005. It was then restored and converted to RHD.
Finished in pretty Primrose Yellow with a fetching tan cabin, it is a particularly handsome example of Triumph’s svelte roadster. Regularly but carefully used by its two keepers since the restoration, recent work has included new discs and pads alongside further improvements to the brakes. The thick history file documents much more work.
An upgrade to a Ford 5spd gearbox means it would be perfect for long distance events and drives. Judging from the photos, it looks ready to enjoy.
