Straight and original "Birmabright" alloy bodywork
The Appeal
Amongst the rarest and most collectable Series I Land Rovers is the long-wheelbase 107 - the ancestor to later 109" and 110" models. We're delighted to offer this interesting 1955 example which was formerly owned by the Ministry of Defence.
Its previous owner kept the car for two decades, ensuring it was stored indoors and remained in running order - both of which the vendor has continued since purchase.
It remains largely original and besides having been repainted in green at some point, there have been no notable modifications - which is quite remarkable for a Land Rover of this vintage. The galvanised chassis is a very welcome sight, future-proofing this Land Rover for years to come.
