1933 Austin 7 Lulworth Equipe Special

Highlights

  • Exquisite Austin 7 special
  • Raced in UK during late 1950s
  • Only four registered keepers
  • Very well preserved car
  • Fascinating and usable historic racer

The Appeal

Squint and you might imagine you’re looking at a pint-sized Vanwall replica. But this is much more than that. It is a bespoke ‘Lulworth Equipe’ Austin 7 special, a car that raced at Brands Hatch in the late 1950s.
Seven Specials are, of course, not unusual. Cars with racing provenance stand out though, particularly ones as distinctive as this one. The work has been done very well, the sculptural body crafted in aluminium over a Seven chassis. Under the removable ‘bonnet’ there is an Austin Seven 747cc engine. In the cabin there is space - just - for two. And the closer? It is road legal.
This is a tiny car with huge charisma. It would fit right into the vibrant Austin 7 scene or suit a historic track day. Alternatively, simply enjoy drives out in a car with a fascinating style and history.
