The Plus
The AC4, later renamed the C4, drew on construction and styling from across the Atlantic, while incorporating a French approach specific to the inter-war period to offer remarkable comfort and reliability. André Citroën used four-wheel elliptical leaf suspension with shock absorbers, creating a car with exceptional ride comfort.
The four-cylinder AC4 and C4 models were a huge success. Their reliability, interior space and ability to fit into modern traffic make them still popular with contemporary collectors.
This 1932 C4 is one of the last to be produced before the model was discontinued. Restored by its current owner between 2010 and 2017, it has benefited from high-quality work, as shown in the photos. The restoration included the bodywork, now elegantly finished in blue and black, as well as the interior, which features a strikingly stylish black and blue woven fabric. Under the bonnet, the mechanicals have been overhauled, with a completely new engine block.
It is now in very good condition, with a slight patina reflecting moderate use since restoration. It is described as running perfectly, with a top speed of 90 km/h and suitable for all types of journey.
This charming car can serve as an elegant and very practical vintage classic for transporting family and friends or, why not, be used as a spacious and distinctive wedding car.
