The Attractions

In the 1920s, for those who wanted an elegant and capable motorbike, one stood out above all others: the Standard BS500. But with prices exceeding the average worker's annual salary, they were reserved for a select few.
Admiring this stunning BS500, it is easy to see why. It is a beautiful, elegant and well-finished motorbike. A top-class restoration carried out by specialists a few years ago allows us to appreciate it even better. It is still in excellent condition, having been used infrequently since the restoration. It has covered only 1,000 km since the engine was rebuilt.
The BS500 was only sold between 1928 and 1933, and this is a 1929 model. It was officially re-registered and re-powered at the factory in 1948 when the chassis was replaced.
Enthusiasts have great respect and admiration for these rare motorbikes, and this is one of the best examples we have been fortunate enough to admire.
