Description

History of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce La Dolce Vita on four wheels. At a time when life was still black and white, Alfa Romeo brought colour and passion to the roads: The Giulietta Spider Veloce, designed by the legendary Pininfarina design studio, was presented to the world public for the first time in 1956 at the Paris Motor Show - an event that immediately aroused desire and emotion. With its athletic 1. 3-litre twin-camshaft engine, which in the Veloce version produced over 90 bhp, it wasn't just beautiful - it was fast too. The Veloce was the sportiest version in the Spider range and embodied the Italian spirit in its purest form. Only some 2, 796 examples of the Giulietta Spider Veloce were built between 1956 and 1962 - each one a statement of automotive elegance and hand-crafted technical sophistication. Its open bodywork embraces the wind, while the filigree chrome details catch the sunlight like a smile on a summer morning in Portofino. The harmonious lines, typically Italian proportions and sheer lightness of being - all this makes it a true style icon of the era of the economic miracle. The Giulietta Spider Veloce is the embodiment of Italian joie de vivre. Today, more than ever, it symbolises a timeless way of life. For individualists who don't confuse elegance with volume. For those who still celebrate their Sundays - on the winding roads of the coast or in the heart of the city. Vita of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce shown here The vehicle was built on 09. 12. 1958 in Milan (Alfa Portello factory). The engine is "matching". The vehicle was produced for the American market (original instruments with mileage counter) and imported into the USA by the Hoffman Motor Company. The second and last owner in the USA was probably Mr Joseph McC of Homewood/ Illinois. In November 2008, the Veloce was sold to Original Motors SARL in Paris, who carried out a nuts & bolts restoration. In 2009, the last and only German owner took over this Alfa and had it refined by Alfa Classic in Dortmund. Only 1253 units of the 750 F series were produced in the factory (1956-1959). This spider is in sensational condition. The paintwork, interior and technology are in excellent condition. The nero/ rosso colour combination suits this Veloce perfectly. The 1300 Veloce version with 90 HP has an easy time with the body that weighs just under 900 kg, the engine is audible, the sound is bewitching, when open, there are draughts and wind and beyond 100 KM, even Tony Dallara really has to work hard to be able to fight vocally against the driving and wind noise. Visually, especially in this colour combination, the Veloce remains a gallant seductress and a most refined Italian heartbreaker. Only truly refined ladies will turn around when they see it. Summary This Veloce not only embodies the typically Italian 'dolce vita', it is above all one of the most elegant spiders ever built in Italy. It is undoubtedly a style icon from the house of Alfa Romeo. We can take care of the after-sales service or do it with our new sister company Scuderia Sportiva Servizio (ex Alfa Classic Center) in Dortmund.
