I'm selling my Unimog 404 A. ess. Fire version.
1 ere mise en circulation 8/ 03/ 1960 Carte grise collection. 2 seats. heavy weight. PTAC 4750kg Puiss. admin (P6)10. 6cylindres. 82 ch. 2, 2L. 30000 km. Front PTO. Have been redone: carburettor reflection (runs like clockwork) accelerator cable and choke Changed: starter. Front wheel master cylinder. Rear. coil plus capacitor 24V. 4 wheels. Battery. Fuel tank. Needs work: handbrake. Exhaust line (broken at lower engine outlet) Gearbox? Equipment: a non-original 6T winch, apparently adaptable (according to the previous owner, who used it for forestry work, but I've never used it).
I needed this type of machine for my farming business, so I went and got it 900 km away from home, even though I didn't have an LPG licence during the covid!
I broke down after 100 km. (carburettor problem) I dismantled it, cleaned the jets and had it coated by a garage/ telephone friend of mine.
I set off again then broke down again after 100km! I had it repatriated to my garage mate in Vendée where it "slept" for 1 year, then repatriated to my home in Lozere, where I had the above list done, and the carburettor (by a pro). I hadn't realised that such a vehicle requires a complete overhaul before being put into service.
It sleeps outside, I started it regularly. I don't have the finances, I'm not a mechanic! I bought it for 6500eur, the 2 repatriations and the work cost me 4000eur. I'm selling it for 5250 eur. Farming.
