Hello, since sometimes you have to choose, I am selling one of the motorbikes in my collection. It's a 1953 BSA B33 in superb mechanical and general condition.
It has undergone a complete restoration and is in very good condition. The paintwork is perfect, right down to the rims and even the bike pump clipped under the tank.
Both tyres are new.
Mechanically, I had the ageing magneto replaced with a new model ordered from the UK that was identical to the original.
We took the opportunity to install an electronic ignition (invisible box) which greatly simplifies engine management. I also had a tap fitted to close the oil circuit during prolonged parking, thus avoiding oil dripping into the engine and onto the ground, which is characteristic of these bikes and of British bikes in general.
The speedometer is an old Smith's, perfectly reconditioned and fairly accurate (provided you convert the miles into kms). The seat is a new Lycett and there is a second small seat that can easily be removed.
This bike starts perfectly and handles smoothly. The engine sounds magnificent. Finally, it is registered as a collector's vehicle.
