Description
FIAT 124 COUPE SPORT 1968 This is a very nice example of a Fiat coupé sport in its 1st version. This car was a big success when it came out: sporty lines, 4 real seats which is not insignificant for a coupé, a double camshaft engine and 4 disc brakes. The car has been given a new paint job by its former owner, a coachbuilder in Italy.
The car was given a new coat of paint by its former owner, a coachbuilder in Italy, so the bodywork is in very good condition. When we put it on the deck, we found that the floorboards, underframes and side members were sound. No additional anti-gravel has been applied, so we can access the structure directly. The chromes look good. The interior has retained its period charm: the seats have a slight patina but are in relatively good condition, the dashboard veneer looks as good as new, and the very vintage carmine red carpet is original, with a few traces of wear. The headliner is in good condition, and the instrumentation is functional. As for the mechanical aspects, the car is in its original configuration with WEBER carburetion. It has been serviced and maintained, and we were able to check that it was in good condition by taking compressions. A complete overhaul has just been carried out, with carburettor and ignition adjustments. The braking system is also in very good condition. A pretty little Italian whose main asset is a sound chassis, which not all models from these years have! Recent paintwork gives it a certain elegance, and the interior is resolutely vintage.
