This Pontiac is probably the best muscle car of the 1970's, the perfect compromise between power, sportiness, comfort, and quality of finish.
This Firebird was delivered to its first owner on 06/ 02/ 1971 by the Mc Namara Pontiac dealership in Orlando, Florida. It was restored in 2009 in the USA, then imported to France in 2016 by a passionate collector who has regularly maintained it.
Mechanical condition: The 455 HO engine is in perfect working order, starting from a quarter turn without any difficulty. The original TH 350 automatic gearbox shifts very well, without any jerks. The stainless steel exhaust system gives the engine a beautiful sound. Work carried out in 2020: refurbishment of the left and right side rails, refurbishment of the floorboards, replacement of the rocker arm cover seals, coil, starter, overhaul of the rear and front brakes.
Exterior condition: In its original Lucerne Blue colour (500 examples in 1971), the bodywork is in very good overall condition, the paintwork has recently been polished and shows no dents or scratches, there are slight blemishes on the front bumper, the 4 BF Goodrich tyres are in very good condition, the 4 Rally II rims are in perfect condition, no scratches Interior condition:
It is in perfect condition, as new, all the upholstery is impeccable, the door trims are in perfect condition, as is the dashboard, the carpets and the roof lining. The wiring harness was replaced as new in 2012, everything is functional.
