This car was specially designed for the Heritage Grand Touring Car championship in England and has enjoyed great success in the UK and Europe. The car has raced for several seasons with notable drivers and recognised representatives of the Mini community such as John Rhodes, Warwick Banks, Bill Sollis and former Grand Prix commentator Tony Jardine. It is eligible for the Mini 7 Club Libre trophy in the UK as well as hillclimbs all over Europe and the UK, the Circuit des Remparts in Angouleme and Saloon Car in France. Probably one of the most technically advanced Minis today, the former owner spent over £88, 000 to get the result he wanted.
Modified to your requirements at our specialist workshops in Tours Delivery available at extra cost SPECIFICATION: BODYWORK Original Cooper S body, the previous owner ordered the car to be ready within the maximum permissible limits set by HGTCC regulations. Much of this work was carried out by world rally preparation specialist Gartrac, and included a T45 roll cage welded to the body.
The boot floor was also modified to lower the vehicle's centre of gravity and incorporate a 45-litre aluminium fuel tank. The windows are Plexiglas, the windscreen is original, and the doors are semi-aluminium and sheet metal. The front is a one-piece original steel panel that can be quickly removed to provide excellent access to the engine and suspension.
SUSPENSION: During its racing life, the car underwent continuous development with numerous components designed by its former owner.
