This Peugeot 304 Coupé in 1321 metallic grey, with black imitation upholstery, was delivered in November 1971 to its first owner in Tours, who kept it until 2021. In reality, the car was used until the early 90s, after which the family inherited this immaculate coupé with a total of just 57, 000 km, with no real plans other than to keep it alive and store it in a heated garage to keep it in all its splendour.
From 1992 to 2021, the Peugeot only travelled to visit the technical inspection and retain its roadworthiness (the technical inspection mileage records are available from 1992 to 2024, the current mileage being only 59170 km). It was then taken over by a marque enthusiast, who was also a mechanic, who gave it a complete overhaul and gave it a full paint job by a master coachbuilder, with poly-gloss varnish, to bring it back to its former glory. The bodywork is absolutely intact, with the original sheet metal joints clearly visible, as are the welding points. The engine compartment, wheel arches and rocker panels are clean, and we invite you to take a look at the full photo report, which more than speaks for itself when describing the car's state of preservation. Perhaps the most astonishing thing is the state of preservation of the interior: apart from a few stains on the roof lining, it is in immaculate condition.
The engine and gearbox run smoothly and evenly, as do the running gear. New tyres will be fitted prior to delivery, as the current ones are obsolete.
