Recently retired, my husband is parting with one of his jewels restored 15 years ago with a complete overhaul of the engine with original parts: a 1966 MGB. CT passed on 03/ 05/ 2024 without fault, regular maintenance.
Type MK1, engine 1800, 98 PS, high compression with 2 carburettors SU HS 4, engine type 18 GA-H, gearbox with 4 gears plus Overdrive, servo-brake. 2 batteries 6V replaced in May 2024, 4 new tyres with inner tubes, chromed spoke rims. Oil and filters changed in May 2024. Since then the engine has less than 15, 000 kms on the odometer. Also repainted in 1997, upholstery in 2003 (red leather) and some minor work recently. Miscellaneous parts to give away: - 5-bearing engine, good condition, but needs to be rebuilt - ignition - new electric fuel pump repair kit - new carburettor repair kit - various new door handles - second-hand starter in good condition - 4 original spoked rims with tyres to park the car under cover during the winter So if you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me.
