Timeless Jaguar XJ 6 4. 2 S1 in original condition, purchased with just a few miles on the clock in 1973 and kept in the same family until today, with up to date maintenance due to regular use. This is a Series 1 example, produced between 1968 and 1973, this vehicle being from February 1973, therefore one of the last produced in this series. It is powered by a 4. 2cc (4, 234cc) in-line 6-cylinder engine developing 186bhp at 4, 500rpm, has a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is fitted with Dunlop SP Sport tyres measuring 205/ 70 VR 15 in very good condition. This example has never been restored, retaining its original condition and with 160, 000km.
It has recently undergone interior refurbishment and paint polishing, the clutch pump has been replaced, the steering box has been repaired and the ball joints replaced, and a general inspection has been carried out with all fluids changed.
