CAR NEEDS TO BE GONE BY TOMORROW
, I'm paying storage fees so serious buyers get in touch. I will not reply to timewasters, all I want is someone who will come and view the car and make an offer and take it away. That's it, it's as simple as that. If you cannot do that please don't bother me, it cannot be any more straight forward than that. I've advertised this car before and I've had nothing but timewasters getting in touch. If your going to waste my time please do not bother me. Don't tell me it needs new tyres because it hasn't been driven much, don't tell me it needs a new battery because it's been parked up. Don't tell me how much it will cost you in fuel, tax and insurance to run for a year that's got nothing to do with me that is your business. I dont care how much it would cost to ship abroad. To me it's just a family car that is up for sale. If your a trader don't bother, we are looking for a private sale as we would want Bertie going to a loving home.
Bertie has been parked since its last mot which was 2016 or 2017, for this reason i am selling him as spares or repair due to it being parked for so long and without mot. An yes he is lovingly called Bertie as stamped on the number plates.
It had the alloy wheels fully refurbished and brand new tyres put on before it was parked up aswell as a full valet. The reason it was parked up was due to covid and it was supposed to come back on the road once covid was over but as you know things changed and life goes on and it wasnt bothered with. So in hindsight it made no sense refurbishing the wheels and getting it brand new Pirelli tyres. It was still moved and driven back an forth many times until the battery gave up. It was a brand new battery. Also by then my dad wasn't really keen on driving a 'big car' and since moved onto a smaller Hatchback till he gave up driving permanently. He still loved the car dearly regardless. It had a towbar fitted but as you can see it's never been used.
I don't know anything else apart from before when it was in use so bring a mechanic to satisfy yourself before you buy the car. All I know is the car was amazing whilst it was in use. There was a dent on the driver side below the side glass that is mentioned on the v5. That was from the previous owner who was the Mercedes collector, he only sold it as he was a perfectionist.
It's been in my family since 2016 and it was purchased from a Mercedes collector. Many Mercedes were viewed before this once was purchased. The original owner had this car new from 1994 to 2009 and was sold due to disability, my father had spoke to him many years ago, not just him but my father also spoke to every previous owner of the car. 2nd owner from 2009 to 2012. 3rd owner 2012 to 2016 till my Father got it. Please bear in mind the original owner had the v5 changed over twice as it was under the Company name and the Company names were changed twice till he put it in his own name. It was originally his company car and he loved it so much he kept it even though he was due a new company car. In the end he kept it as his personal car when he retired. That's why even though he is the 3rd owner he is officially the 1st owner. So the car has only 3 previous owners. Someone scraped the front bumper whilst it was parked up in storage, it was the front drivers side. Photo included. This was done a few years back and the storage company notified us and it was recorded on cctv. The police were involved but to cut a long story short nothing could be done about it as it was private land. I honestly till this day have never understood how she got away with it! I still have the cctv recording, it was a 2 mph scrape. Trading standards were involved and said we had a case but the police said we don't and we were just going in circles so we just gave up as it was mentally really stressful.
Anyway back to the car, if you want it come and make a offer an take it away. No more timewasters please. It's sold as is spares or repair with no mot.
I've included some photos that I've found in my phone of some paperwork we have, there was tonnes of paperwork, including receipts of the headgasket being done at the Mercedes dealership. But at the moment I can't find anything. I'll see what I can gather but at the moment please see this as an advert of a car with no physical paperwork included as I don't what I'll be able to gather for the sale. I've typed this up from some notes I've got here with me and some stuff from memory. But its as accurate as can be. This was bought many years ago as a retirement car but its hardly been used especially in the last few years due to the lock down

The floor mats are a factory standard fitted in 1994 and are still like brand new as you can clearly see. The car has a automatic electric aerial that goes up when the ignition / stereo is switched on and it also has a extra aerial that can be screwed on to the existing antenna base that is fixed on the car next to the petrol cap. This is for the mobile phone connection.
The stereo is a factory fitted unit with a CD changer in the boot fixed below the rear parcel shelf in the boot

The car was also parked up in storage briefly from 2016 till 2018 when it was taken out of storage and straight for its MOT which it passed with no issues. There is a picture included of this when it's full of dust taken out of storage.
It had a recent oil change and it had been fully valeted and then moved to a storage site. The photos show it getting cleaned up before it was parked in the secure site.
The steering wheel has a leather wrap added to it
The car was always started regularly and driven forward and reversed in the yard, the engine is smooth and amazing, you'd honestly think it has only done 20k miles.
The car glides like a magic carpet, you don't feel no bumps, nothing. It is unbelievably a smooth car like your on air.
